Dr. Rootring is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.  He is a 1982 graduate of Akron University and a 1986 graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his surgical residency at The Foot Clinic of Youngstown, Ohio.

Dr. Rootring has been providing Cincinnati patients with expert podiatric medical and surgical care for over thirty years. He derives much satisfaction from successfully treating patients. "I truly enjoy helping patients improve their foot health, so that they can live fuller lives." Dr. Rootring's patients appreciate his ability to explain complex medical conditions and treatment options in terms they can understand.

Dr. Rootring is currently on staff at The Jewish Hospital- Mercy Health and Christ Hospital. At Jewish Hospital, he is a participating physician in Mercy Heath Select and he is a teacher and mentor to young doctors in The Jewish Hospital Surgical Residency program.

Dr. Rootring also works at the The Jewish Hospital Wound Care Center one day a week. Dr. Rootring is passionate about providing patients with superior treatment and education to heal chronic wounds.

Dr. Rootring is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association. For many years, he has served as a Cincinnati delegate to the Ohio State convention in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Rootring is married and has two adult children, a daughter and a son. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, taking neighborhood walks, spending time with his family and friends, and watching F1 racing.

Dr. Rootring's office is located in Kenwood.
